Halloween 2010

Brennan wanted to be a Butterfly Fairy for Halloween. When we went to pick out her costume she ran straight to it and never looked at anything else, she fell in love with the skirt immediately. So when she finally got to wear it she was so excited. Our Publix had trick-or-treating last night so we dressed the kids up and took them. They had face painting and lots of games to play. Brennan wasn't so sure about the face painting at first and the flower she got was cute. She tried to play every game and of course wanted to do it on her own.

Saturday night we carved our pumpkin and Brennan was all about cleaning out the pumpkin. She would say she was "getting out the guts". I knew she wouldn't have a problem getting dirty.

Tonight we went trick-or-treating at our friends neighborhood. Their neighbor has a tractor & trailer so he makes a hayride for all the kids every year. We had so much fun and Brennan loved getting candy. I even got her to say "trick-or-treat" a few times. Towards the end she was a little tired and opted to sit in the trailer so she could eat candy.

Birthday Party #2

My parents were on vacation the week before Brennan's birthday and I told them they shouldn't come to GA for her birthday party. My sister had another commitment so she couldn't make it either. So, we decided since we were going to be in Tennessee we would have a small birthday party for her with just my family. We had the party on Sunday before we had to leave to go home. My mom made a big lunch so while it was cooking we let Brennan open her presents. Grammi & Papa gave her a big My Little Pony and a cute monkey. Aunt Kerri & Uncle Carl gave her The Little Mermaid on DVD, a couple of coloring books and a bed for her babies. She was excited about all her presents and had to have them opened immediately.

After we ate lunch and let it settle we had cake & ice cream. Grammi & Papa bought Brennan a cake that was shaped like a dog. It was really cute to watch Brennan check out the cake and watch all of us as we sang Happy Birthday. Then she dove into her cake & ice cream as soon as she could!

Weekend of Fun

Last weekend we went to my parents house. We left on Thursday afternoon so by the time we arrived in TN it was almost bedtime. The kids got to play with Grammi & Papa for a little while and then they went to bed.

On Friday morning after breakfast Papa & Ethan went outside and raked some leaves into a huge pile. Brennan went outside and Ethan showed her how to jump in the leaves. She didn't quite jump she would just sit down. Dusty was out there playing with one of his tennis balls and Brennan wanted it. As soon as he set it down she grabbed it and if she dropped it he would pick it up immediately. One time she sat in front of him just waiting for him to let go of it so she could have it. We were cracking up!

Later that morning we went to a local park with a picnic lunch. The kids had a great time playing on the playground. After lunch we went and rode these small trains that went through the park. The trains don't run very often so we were excited to be able to ride this time. When Brennan first saw the train she said, "ride train, ride train". She has started to like trains and even watches Thomas the Train when she can.

That evening we were excited to have Uncle Eric & Evan come and eat dinner with us. After dinner Aunt Kerri & Uncle Carl arrived. It was nice to have our entire family together. Before bedtime Evan & Brennan had to have a breathing treatment so we had to take a picture of them. Evan gets the treatments twice a day and we gave Brennan one because she had a cold and we wanted to avoid wheezing.

Saturday morning we got up and headed out to a pumpkin patch or as Brennan says, "punkin patch". There were mazes, animals, a playground and a hayride. The first thing we did was a small maze. Brennan, Ethan & Evan guided us through the maze and did a great job. The hayride was fun and Brennan enjoyed seeing the cows and their babies.
